Spaghetti Dinner, Bingo, and Character Education Night
On Friday, March 12th, the Hagan Character Education Committee along with the Hagan PTA had a fun filled Family Spaghetti Dinner, Bingo, and Character Education Night. The Spaghetti meal was amazing and fueled everyone up for the fun filled evening. Ms. Spiegel called out the BINGO numbers while families snacked on goodies from the bake sale. The children were able to get a balloon animal with donations going to The Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie to be used for needed art supplies. There was also face painting by talented teachers and a hoops competition facilitated by several of our Spackenkill High School basketball team members. The proceeds from these two activities went to The American Red Cross International Relief Fund for Haiti. Many children also helped to create beautiful centerpieces for the the Vassar-Warner Senior Residence in Poughkeepsie. Adams in Poughkeepsie gave us 100 brown paper bags to decorate for Earth Day. Many of our families created beautiful earth and character friendly messages. Families also enjoyed lots of laughs while playing silly cooperative family games and relays in the gym. The Hagan Dutchess Outreach food drive was also kicked off during this evening. It was a fun filled evening for all!
